So while you can expect a distinctive design, proverbial robustness, superior handling and high thermic abilities through our high temperature firing, you accept the uniqueness of our ware. This means every item may have some aesthetic flaws, and when buying our products you happily accept the occasional wrinkles in the clay body, the randomly applied glaze edge or uneven glaze coating, the occasional marks from our hands or instruments, the minimal deviations in the shapes of our design language, and that the raw unglazed bottom may scratch highly polished surfaces such as stainless steel. The tiny imperfections make up the character of our vessels. Please be aware that our policy of returns states that the customer bears the cost of shipping back unwanted products. ATTENTION PLEASE:

Dune is based on the shoji glaze which is special as it might in some cases yield a so called craquelure or craquelée over time of use. A fine pattern of dense cracking will form on the surface and the residues of coffee and tea will make it more visible over the years. As the name shoji of this glaze component suggests, it is a reverence to Japanese wabi-sabi aesthetic which assigns value to age and the patina of regular use. The craquelée pattern is technically safe for use and no reason for any claims.
