The COLLECTORS series is our playground and dedicated to the hartmud collectors who chase our wares with patience and enjoy the crackling tension of our monthly drops. Here the studio just plays it casual and revisits the good old times of our work history, but beware: deliberately rough finished and born with patina the hartmud Collectors series is definitely not for the sterile crowd.

Be it the Natrium residues of the flames that we poetically call “kissed by fire” or the bizarre lava haptics, grainy surfaces and craquelee textures of our glazes, The Collectors batches are full of irregularities and handicraft birthmarks. That’s what makes them wabi-sabi – beautifully imperfect and clone-free. Hartmud was born like that in 2017: as a natural beauty. Our seasoned collectors know where we’re coming from, and this represents the spirit of our Collectors series. If you dread the stains of the flames and the glaze full of grains please ignore the Collectors series and celebrate your love for the hartmud design by choosing the clean aesthetics of our Reference or Ultimate collection.

Please note that our new Lotus150 is 40ml smaller than our traditional Lotus190. We designed the Lotus150 for the original Cappuccino with 1 Espresso shot and her latte art, but it makes a perfect vessel for your Doppio as well.

Our tableware comes without handles on principle of design and our genuine aesthetics, so for the use of our tableware we advise to pour only liquids with a temperature you and your guests can handle without risk of  scalding. With complete disregard for mass-production we have chosen to build traditionally crafted highest quality coffee ware that might bear the signature of the maker through their distinguishing irregularities.
So while you can expect a distinctive design, proverbial robustness, superior handling and high thermic abilities through our high temperature firing, you accept the uniqueness of our ware.
This means every item may have some aesthetic flaws, and when buying our products you happily accept the occasional wrinkles in the clay body, the randomly applied glaze edge or uneven glaze coating, the occasional marks from our hands or instruments, the minimal deviations in the shapes of our design language, and that the raw unglazed bottom may scratch highly polished surfaces such as stainless steel.
The tiny imperfections make up the character of our vessels.
Please be aware that our policy of returns states that the customer bears the cost of shipping back unwanted products.
