At hartmud rare access means rare access, and while it might be a funny marketing concept to artificially reduce supply – at least for luxury goods, not for food staples or medicine, for God‘s sake – in our distinct case scarcity stems out from local manufacturing by hand.

We’re not especially proud that our Collectors series is so limited, and we heed the call from our new customers who just wanna have a hartmud in their hands, regardless whether it’s a super rare half glazed special limited whatever edition: „no, just please give me access to hartmud, now!“, so we introduced the fully glazed Ultimate collection which can be manufactured more easily in large numbers and is always ready for purchase in our online shop.

But the core of our philosophy to hand build stoneware coffee items continues to reside in the post-materialistic theory of sacred consumerism: completely counter intuitive to the prevalent zeitgeist of instant gratification fast forward “Black Week” “World Single Day” or whatever shop-till-you-drop marketing we propose to slow down the greedy wheel of longing, and nurture the natural spirit of joyful anticipation. That’s the old school way of happiness, and we love it.

In the end the circle of Life is all about patience and gratitude, and while the temptations of instant gratification will just perpetuate that endless longing, the gratitude of fulfillment after a time of patience and steadfastness is a lasting treasure.
